Bebington Central Library

September - The Map Project exhibition can be seen at Bebington Central Library until Saturday 20th. September. This travelling show has been to Croatia, Montenegro, Wirral Festival of Firsts in Hoylake and Hope University in Liverpool this year.
For this venue there is also related work by the local artists involved Istra Toner Helen Smith Viv Netherwood Yvonne Body and Judith Railton

The Map Project at Liverpool Indi Biennial

July-August 2014, Cornerstone gallery in Liverpool. The project was shown as a part of Independences  Liverpool Biennial in the most attractive Cornerstone gallery space. The exhibition was hosted by Liverpool Hope University and will be shown until the end of August.

25 June 2014. Istra and Nina exhibited glass art at the European Centre for Peace and Development in Pula, Croatia. Istra's work illustrates a range of techniques and stiles in working with glass.

Glass art and paintings in Zagreb, Croatia

02 - 27 June 2014 at Zagreb Central Library Istra and artists from Studio Valeria are exhibiting some new glass art and objects together with Istra's paintings inspired by images from Istrian medieval wall paintings.

The map project - exhibitions

The map project is an international cross-cultural art project in textile. Participating countries include groups of artists from England, Croatia, Montenegro and Australia. The project has been shown first during May 2014 in Tivat, and Podgorica in Montenegro; then during June in European Centre for Peace and Development in Pula, Croatia. March 2014. I always enjoy trying something new. In this work in which I used colour not often in my preferred range or style.  The work titled "Primark bag exploding in space" is inspired by the clothing company's global expansion.
